About Mission Clean Krishna Godavari Canals

Krishna and Godavari rivers have exceptional importance spiritually, culturally, and above all agricultural basis and they together support crores of people and lakhs of acres of irrigation land. Unfortunately, these water bodies are being depleted due to various reasons which are against the well-being of not just humans but also animals and birds. MCKGC has evolved from this thought and needs of protecting these rivers Krishna and Godavari and their tributaries and canals that have turned the irrigation of Andhra Pradesh and have established AP as the rice bowl of India. Evolved by like-minded people and approved and run by Government, MCKGC not only takes care of Krishna and Godavari water bodies but also creates a peaceful and healthy space near them for the people to enjoy the real nature close by.
